CLIMMAR Congress

31.10.2019

On October 24-27 this year another CLIMMAR congress took place. The Polish Chamber of Commerce of Agricultural Machines and Facilities, as a member of this organization, participates in its works and meetings.

So it was this time. PIGMiUR representatives took part in the congress, which traditionally discussed the situation of agricultural machinery dealers on European markets. Currently, 16 national associations are associated in CLIMMAR, which represent the machine dealers industry. CLIMMAR also carries out its own research projects. During the congress the results of the last survey editions were presented: industry report, CLIMMAR index, dealer satisfaction index. The results of the last of these will be presented to journalists of the industry press during a press conference that will take place during the Agritechnica trade fair in Hanover on November 11 at 14:00 (Stand E40, Hall 02).

A lot of time at this year’s congress was devoted to discussions about the future of the organization, its possible structure and budget. Final decisions have not yet been made. Perhaps we will know more details during the spring CLIMMAR meeting, which will be held in Poland in April 2020. Thus, the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Agricultural Machines and Facilities will be the host of this meeting, which will most likely take place in Gdańsk.

A new Vice President of the organization was also elected at the congress. Nothing left Roberto Rinaldin from Italy, who replaced Joost Merckx from Belgium, who held this position for 9 years.

The congress program also included a visit and tour of the training center in Aarberg. It is the most modern education center in which future agricultural machinery mechanics acquire knowledge.
