CLIMMAR Spring Meeting

31.03.2022

March 17-18 this year. the annual CLIMMAR Spring Meeting was held in Brussels. The most important point of the meeting was the symbolic handover of the reins of the organization to the new Management Board, which was elected in January this year.

The members of the Management Board elected a president from among themselves. It was Roberto Rinaldin from Italy. The vice-presidents are: Stefan Sprock (Germany), Stephane Leblond (France) and Howard Pullen (UK), who will also act as treasurer. An important element of the meeting was to refine the last points of the new statute of the organization. It was an opportunity for everyone to get to know the new Secretary General, Friedrich Trosse, in person.
This is an important moment for CLIMMAR. The change of the Executive Board and the Secretary General is one element. Another important point is that CLIMMAR is gaining a permanent seat in Brussels for the first time. During the meeting, a letter of intent was signed with SME United, represented by its chairman Petri Salminen. CLIMMAR will now become part of SMS United and will benefit from the experience and facilities of this institution. We hope that the permanent presence in Brussels will give us the possibility of greater and more active cooperation with European institutions, greater possibilities of monitoring the emerging legal standards and, finally, lobbying for favorable solutions related to the activities of agricultural machinery dealers.
