The winners of this year’s Young Mechanic Medal Medal competition will for the first time have the opportunity to take part in the European practical skills competition Euroskills 2020, which will take place in September 2020 in Graz, Austria. Preparations are already underway. Every two weeks under the supervision of our expert and trainer dr inż. Mirosław Czechlowski from the Institute of Biosystem Engineering at the University of Life Sciences in Poznań process the material and train for tasks that they can face during the competition.

The training conducted so far has included:

Ability to “read” electrical and hydraulic diagrams,
Measurements of electrical quantities using a multimeter, current clamps and an oscilloscope,
Pressure measurements in power hydraulics systems using manometers,
Vehicle and machine diagnostics with the use of computer diagnostic systems (photos from this training).

In December, the next training will take place, the subject of which will be verification and assessment of wear of the main engine components (measurements: cylinder liner diameters, crankshaft journals, cylinder head and engine block).
There is a long way ahead of the competitors and a lot of work to be done. The best of them will be chosen at the turn of May and June and he will represent our country in the category of heavy vehicles maintenance during Euroskills 2020 in Graz.
