Ongoing preparations to EuroSkills 2020

14.07.2020

The pandemic also disrupted the training cycle of three winners of the last-year’s competition Young Medal-Deserving Mechanic (Młody Mechnik na Medal), organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Agricultural Machines and Facilities. Piotr Bryszak, Miłosz Augustyn and Marek Wiącek participate in trainings, so that one of them, selected in internal eliminations, can finally represent Poland in the competition: Technology of Agricultural and Construction Machines. The additional reason for extension of the break in trainings was the secondary school leaving examination and vocational exams taken this year by Miłosz and Marek.

At the beginning of July the young mechanics were able to resume trainings, so they went to Gliwice, in order to take part in the training entitled: Introduction to mobile hydraulics in agricultural machines and facilities. This training is organized by the company EMT-Systems Sp. z o.o. The program of the three-day course covers construction and principles of operation of power hydraulics applied in mobile machines. What is important, is the fact that the course is held in such a way, that directly after presentation of the principle of operation of each of the elements, it is possible to familiarise with it in practice on a work station, allowing for its testing in operation. Such an organisation of training allows for natural shift from theory to practical application of obtained knowledge, and it also guarantees equal division of training time into lectures and practical classes. The fact worth emphasizing is that the didactic stations used for trainings were designed and constructed by the employees of the company EMT-Systems Sp. z o.o.

Except for getting familiar with the elements of power hydraulics, the participants of training had an opportunity to  operate the modern equipment applied in diagnostics of hydrostatic systems, i.e. recorders of pressure, oil flow rate ad rotational speed, as well as oil purity class analyser.

I must admit that I do not know any power hydraulics lab with better equipment – says Mirosław Czechlowski, Ph.D. in Engineering from Poznań University of Life Sciences, the expert of WorldSkills Polska, responsible for training of the candidates to EuroSkills 2020 – and most of didacticians from Polish universities can only dream of such equipment. We are all very pleased with the level of training and I already know that we will participate in another training from the cycle, that is HM2 “Drive and control systems in mobile hydraulics”.
