A little “freshness” in manure spreaders from Metaltech

24.09.2020

Setting up an RO spreader is simple. It is a machine with a narrow lowered box with Strenx® walls and a 6mm thick floor. The self-supporting body is mounted on wheels of large diameter. This makes it compact, with good stability, lowered weight and manoeuvrability.

Cargo box

Despite the specific structure, the load box of the RO manure spreader has a structure ensuring high load capacity. Depending on the model, with a box height ranging from 1100 to 1400 mm, it can accommodate a load with a volume of 8 to 16 m3 in the basic version (without extensions). It is also possible to add 350 mm extensions.

Another advantage of the spreader is its durability, which results from the material used for the wall sheathing and the method of their profiling. Strenx® sheets offer greater strength than standard steel. The profiling has been improved to allow better material movement towards the adapter shafts. At the top, the cargo box extends up to 2,000 mm, which facilitates loading and increases the volume for the bulk cargo portion.

Effective spread

The standard version of the spreaders is equipped with adapters with vertical spreading rollers. Each adapter has a table mounted to improve the quality and uniformity of spreading for loose materials.

The uncertain situation on the Western market related to COVID-19 and the lack of continuity of supplies from our partners forced us to implement our own production line of spreading adapters. They are adapters with bent coils ensuring precise grinding and a larger spreading width. The high-quality steel used for the production of the adapters ensures their very high durability. The coils are ended with 10mm thick Hardox® steel knives. The adapter is equipped with central lubrication of the upper bearings.

Reliable suspension

The comfort of work is particularly increased by a properly selected chassis and drawbar shock absorption.

The suspension is adjustable as a standard, which allows you to adjust the center of gravity depending on the type of transported material, its weight, the cooperating tractor and the terrain.

In spreaders with a smaller load capacity, the drawbar suspension is based on leaf springs with additional buffers, and in the case of larger-tonnage spreaders, the drawbar suspension is hydraulic. This ensures better shock absorption, easier control of the work, making the work with the spreader more comfortable. The hydraulic shock absorption translates into a more even distribution.

Versatile use

MS spreaders are universal agricultural machines designed for spreading manure, lime, peat and compost. After installing extensions and retrofitting with a volumetric attachment, they can be successfully used as self-dumping volumetric trailers during forage harvesting.
