CONCLUSION -19th INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION AGRO SHOW

18.10.2017

The nineteenth edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRO SHOW is now behind us. The event, organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Agricultural Machines and Facilities, was held on September 22–25, 2017 in Bednary near Poznan (Pobiedziska commune).

We can surely say that this event was fully successful. Nearly 800 exhibitors displayed at the exhibition, and their stands, covering the total area of 136 thousand sqm were visited by nearly 112 people. Despite the adverse weather, the turnout was very good. Certainly, AGRO SHOW is the largest outdoor agricultural exhibition in Europe, truly celebrating the sector!

EXCELLENT EXHIBITING CONDITIONS, A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR, MODERN TECHNOLOGIES

Each year AGRO SHOW is the most eagerly awaited sector event, perceived as an excellent place for presentation of the latest and most modern agricultural machines and equipment, as well as products and services for agriculture. The exhibition has been organised by PIGMIUR since 1999. This year during 4 days of the exhibition, farmers could get acquainted with a comprehensive range of nearly 800 exhibitors from Poland and abroad. Furthermore, they could meet directly with representatives of all important institutions and agencies associated with agriculture. Against other exhibitions in this sector, AGRO SHOW is distinguished by the open space – 120 ha at the Bednary airport – offering almost limitless possibilities for presentations of machines. Once again, we put as much as 136 thousand sqm of the exhibition area at exhibitors’ disposal! Agricultural machines and equipment could be seen not only at traditional stands, but also on the runway, and at work in fields. The exhibition was also an opportunity for manufacturers of fertilisers, seeds, and plant protection agents, as well as companies from the financial sector and many other segments associated with agriculture, to present their products and services. Thus the visitors could get acquainted with a comprehensive range of production resources and services for agriculture. From our observations it can be seen throughout all these years AGRO SHOW has developed robustly, becoming an important platform for expanding knowledge, and for exchanging ideas, contacts and experiences. We believe that during this event each visitor will be able to find something for themselves and spent their time effectively.

PRESENTATIONS OF MACHINES AT STANDS, ON THE RUNWAY AND AT WORK

This year the latest and most modern agricultural machines and equipment could not only be seen at exhibitor stands, in presentation fields or on the runway, but also during work outdoors, in the ring. For years, live presentations of machines have become the most eagerly awaited and spectacular part of the Exhibition, always enjoying a great turnout. We saw sprayers with trailers and telescopic loaders in dynamic operation in ring. As in the previous years, presentations were accompanied by professional commentary. Machine presentations attracted crowds of farmers who wished to see themselves performance of individual machines in the field. Furthermore, they could compare technical performance of presented machines and devices, and talk directly to manufacturers and dealers.

COMPETITIONS

As PIGMIUR, for many years now we have strongly promoted education and sharing of professional knowledge in the sector.
