GREEN AGRO SHOW 2017 exhibition is already behind us. The event, which was primarily aimed at farmers, growing green fodder crops, cattle farmers and milk producers from south-eastern Poland, took place between 27th and 28th May in the Moto Park in Ułęż (Ryki District, Lublin Province). This comprehensive outdoor exhibition was held by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Agricultural Machines and Facilities.

The GREEN AGRO SHOW had its premiere in 2002 and since then, it has attracted more and more exhibitors and visitors. 150 enterprises presented their offer – including domestic and foreign manufacturers and distributors of modern green fodder harvesters, seeds, fertilizers, feeds and feed additives, livestock buildings furnishings, agricultural films and many other products at this year edition on over 15,000 m2 of exhibition space. Not only exhibitors, but also representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, government agencies, working for agriculture and industry media attended the event. Within two days, the exhibition was visited by nearly 35,000 people. This result is better than last year.

The constant, most anticipated and glamorous point of the event was the SHOW OF MACHINES FOR COLLECTING THE GRASS FOR ENSILING, which attracted crowds of farmers. On the show fields, nearly 50 sets of agricultural machines needed to cultivate and harvest grass, including: mowers, round balers, balers-wrappers, wrappers and silage wagons were seen in action.
During the exhibition, an interesting DISCUSSION PANEL was held under the title of “Costs and benefits. What a specialist dairy farm cannot do without?” The discussion over which TVP1 took media patronage was attended by experts involved in cattle breeding, manufacturers of green fodder harvesters and farmers. The panel was held under the auspices of TVP1. Another SEMINAR “Another look at the breeding of dairy cattle, or how to make money on sex” was available to expand the knowledge. This was conducted by Dr Zbigniew Lach from the Osięciny centre for Pedigree Breeding.
On 27th and 28th May, the exhibition at Moto Park in Ułęż was open to visitors from 9:00 to 17:00 hours. The Polish Chamber of Commerce of Agricultural Machines and Facilities, as every year, provided free admission, car park and the catalogue of the exhibition and subsidies for travels of groups organized by dairies, agricultural advisory centres, offices of communes, chambers of agriculture and schools.
