JOSKIN – Adapting to the changing world

14.05.2020

Similarly to other producers, JOSKIN changes the way of its operation, to adapt to the rules in force due to the pandemics and government decisions. “Taking into account the current situation, our employees immediately agreed to reorganisation of their workstations and working hours, to ensure correct functioning of the JOSKIN Group, while maintaining maximum safety precautions.

Remote work, implemented at the maximum possible scale, has many advantages, but in some situations this solution is neither easy nor ideal”, informs Mr Dider Joskin, General Director. Of course, health remains the global priority. And all efforts and sacrifice of various professional groups, starting with healthcare workers, are highly commendable. However, this pandemic, as other before, will also end. Mr Pierre Demiano, management assistant, is of the opinion that we will return to our normal lives. “Sooner or later this ecosystem, i.e., the economy, will start to function again, in one way or another. Some try to forecast how the reality will look after the end of the pandemics, which is to be completely different; however, at the beginning it will definitely not change significantly. Each government will have to stimulate the economy of its country, even if the dates and the situation will differ, depending on a market.”
The production slowed, the sales dropped. “But those who have an action plan to survive this period, will go through it in a better condition”, adds Pierre Demiano,
Sometimes, slowing may be favourable for further development of a company. At JOSKIN, it is a time to consider ways for improving organisation of its production and manufactured equipment. “Simplifications, flexibility, safety, and improvements are main assumptions guiding not only our company, but also farmers for whom we work”, explains Didier Joskin.
“Work that we performed on the entire programme for JOSKIN livestock trailers to adapt them to European standards, including modifications and expanding of the railing range, with a certified option for their installation in all existing JOSKIN livestock trailers is a good example here.”
In the current exceptional circumstances Joskin also wants to help its trade partners with online sales of JOSKIN equipment. JOSKIN encourages its sales representatives and dealers to increase their telephone and email contacts with customers, to advertise on internet agricultural platforms, and to use other similar solutions. “We are also looking for solutions to organise online sales that can be quickly implemented to support dealers in sales of equipment on stock, at attractive prices. To continue its operations, the agricultural machines sector must conduct sales. It also must protect all people involved in them, by limiting the personal contacts to minimum”, adds Didier Joskin.
According to JOSKIN, maintaining of the distribution chain is important, to ensure access to agricultural machines. Farmers and agricultural service providers need equipment in a good operational condition.
