JOSKIN still serves farmers and service providers!

Despite the pandemics, the JOSKIN Group still operates, but following principles adjusted to the situation.
The food production cycle is a necessity for every community and must be ensured regardless of the circumstances. Therefore JOSKIN organised its activities very quickly in such way that it could guarantee its services for farmers and service providers in accordance with restrictions in force.

The JOSKIN services are still available

«Our top priority is to minimise risk and provide protection to our employees.» explains Didier Joskin, a member of the Group’s Management Board. «We immediately adjusted organisation of our work. Wherever possible, the maximum number of people changed to remote work, to minimise all contacts, but we ensure continuity of work with employees available on call. However, we work at facilities closed to any third persons – all our services, if possible, are available, but only on a remote basis».

This way orders for spare parts are fully executed. JOSKIN, who manufactures 85% of its components, maintains strategic stocks: «A repair in the event of a failure or wear or normal maintenance have always been our priority. These services must be available at all cost, following a required reorganisation. The employees providing them strictly follow principles of safe distancing, but our sales outlet is closed, we only provide shipments. Fortunately, for over two years now our customers have become accustomed to tools available online, where they can order necessary parts by providing their numbers. We hope that with our strategic stocks we will be able to guarantee spare parts until the end of this crisis», adds Didier Joskin.

Complicated supply

Concerning machines, JOSKIN makes all efforts possible to meet the most urgent orders. The seasonal works cannot be postponed until the end of the pandemics, farmers need relevant equipment to work efficiently. «All our production plants are working following implementation of necessary changes.» explains Didier Joskin. «The production lines were adapted to principles of maintaining a safe distance, and the work schedule was individually arranged, to enable our employees to combine their work and family life, as far as possible».

However, the Group management states clearly: «In the Force Majeure circumstances delays are unavoidable, both for JOSKIN and Leboulch brands, and for products supplied by DistriTECH. The entire production is slower, as it is necessary to rearrange work with a reduced number of employees and problems with supply. These problems can be partly amended by our stocks of components, but delays with some external supplies have begun. Depending on a country, some companies operate at a reduced rate, and some are closed… Everybody must be patient, especially, because there are also some logistic problems. The transport conditions become increasingly complicated, both for delivery of our machines and for supply of production plants. Our drivers face new restrictions affecting organisation of work», explains Didier Joskin.

Daily evaluation of a situation

«Wherever possible, we continue with the deliveries,’ ensures Didier Joskin. ‘The future is uncertain, but we will strive to ensure continuity of our services, even when the restrictions are more severe. In our production, we evaluate the situation on a daily basis, to ensure maximum protection for our employees. When more extensive changes are required, we will notify our customers immediately, » he adds, and then concludes: «Whatever happens, we want to ensure our customers: We will not fail you! But in these circumstances, we must first focus on our health and health of our families».
